The Hamraz Bass was designed and produced by Esmaeil Saravani to compensate for the shortcomings of the bass sound in Iranian music. The special strings for this instrument are also being produced by him. The playing style of the tar and setar with the same fretting pattern has been considered in this instrument so that all tar and setar players can easily use this instrument
